A History of Service
MJS Contracting was started in the early 1990’s by Mr. Simonson framing custom homes with only a few employees. He continued framing houses until 2000 when a General contractor contacted him to do some warehouse work; when the project was finished the General contractor was pleased with the work that he had completed and offered more and more work to him.
Once he started doing commercial work he realized this is what he wanted to do. In 2001, he stopped framing custom homes and focused on Commercial work only, 15 years later he sold the company to two of his sons.
Both sons had been working for him for at least 12 years prior to buying the company, serving as laborers, framers, Foreman, project manager, and estimators.
The company has grown from 2 – 5 employees in 2000 to 20 – 30 employees, and many loyal subcontractors that work for and with us.
As we grow, we only hire employees and subcontractors with the same core values of which the company was based on, and only work with General contractors who share the same core values as MJS Contracting, its employees, and its subcontractors.
